Deuteronomy 11:21 — “That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.”
These five expressions of believing obedience can be found in the surrounding context of Deuteronomy 11.
1. Love the Lord Passionately
“To love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart…” (v. 13)
2. Leave Idols Permanently
“Take heed… and ye turn aside, and serve other gods…” (v. 16)
3. Learn the Word Persistently
“Lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul…” (v. 18)
4. Lead Your Children Purposefully
“Ye shall teach them your children…” (v. 19)
5. Live for God Practically
“Keep all these commandments… walk in all his ways, and cleave unto him.” (v. 22)
